Phoenix was born in the year 1449 by the name of Luke in a small village of Oak Hill. His mother was a housewife and his father was a great fighter.

When Phoenix turned 6, his village was under attack. His mother and he were in their home. His mother told him to run and hide until it was safe. Phoenix hid behind a bush in the back yeard for hours and hours. He could hear the screaming of his people being tortured and murdered. When he peeked out from behind the bush, he saw his home in flames.

He jumed out and ran towards the house. As he was running, he tripped and fell. When he looked down, he saw his father lying on the ground before him. Tears rolled down his face. There was a sword in his father's chest. Phoenix yelled "father" but he did not respond.

Phoenix got up and tried to run but three men on horses wearing strange masks grabbed him and took him to the ocean. They threw him down on the sand and told him it was his turn to die, that he would die like his father did before him. One man took his sword out and plunged it into Phoenix' chest. He fell to his knees clutching the sword.

As Phoenix looked up at the man, he took off his mask and looked down at him. He laughed saying "Just like your Father, a coward to the end.." Phoenix heard one of the men say the name "Kain" and he knew that he was the man he would later hunt down and kill. He would never forget the face.

As he laid there dying, he saw a bright red sphere coming out of the ocean and it hovered before him. There was a voice in his mind that said "Luke..... Luke.... I have come to give you the gift of life. Are you ready to accept it?"

Phoenix raised his head and nodded. "I will accept" he said. The voice continued, "There is one condition". "Anything!!" Phoenix begged. The sphere floated to his side and touched his chest. The sword disappeared and Phoenix floated up into the air. When he descended, the pain was gone and he felt a tingle all through his body.

When he looked up, he saw that the sphere was really a Firebird. He bent down over Phoenix and helped him up. The Firebird said "Now, you are one of us and I have something to give you." He handed Phoenix a large red sword. He thought that he wouldn't be able to hold it, it was so large. But it was surprisingly light. When Phoenix held it, he felt an energy circulate throughout his body. The Firebird grinned and told him to look into the ocean. He walked slowly to the water.

When he looked down at his reflection, Phoenix saw not the 6 year old boy he once was, but a grown man with wings. The Firebird told him that he had responsibilities to fulfill. He said "Your name is now Phoenix. You will have all the abilities of one of us. Use them wisely. Use them only for good, no matter what has happened this day. Remember this well and it will serve you till the end of time. You have powers beyond any other, use them well." The Firebird then vanished into the sky.

In Phoenix' wanderings looking for the man named "Kain" stumbled into a pub. He slowly walked in, everyone welcomed him. He liked it there and the people as well. They asked him to join their family. He thought for a time and decided that it was for the best. Now he is a member of the DarkKingdom and that is how he became Phoenix_of_Dk.
